If Metroid 1 was released today with the same twist at the end, revealing Samus to be a woman, people would be calling the series and Nintendo "woke trash" and how they got deceived by marketing.
I know this might be shocking to some but women can be the protagonist in your video games and they don't need to meet your requirements for beauty
