it should go without saying but if you want users to voluntarily tag their art then you need to not threaten to ban them if they do. like, you can either have a well-regulated, easily-filtered art ecosystem or you can ban art you don’t like and see it come oozing back out of every crack and crevice

That's exactly what we need to do. And it feels strange, but i know that what it comes down to is this censorship is not about protecting anyone. It's about taking control and erasing things the regime doesn't like. Like queerness.
