I dropped that with zero explanation, huh. Joke or not, IDW's the comic publisher for the current run of Sonic comic books. They can be pretty cool but had run into writing conflicts with Shadow when trying to stick to how SEGA wanted him represented. Got hopes for post-2024 comic Shadow now though.

Nobody could've seen that coming!". Shadow responds "Feh. Excuses.", Sonic responding "Yo! I'm dealing with it too! I'm infected! See?", and Shadow's final response being "It's what you deserve.". Next panel features Sonic inches away from Shadow, angrily balling his fist at him. The third panel features Sonic running off, explaining to Shadow "I'm gonna go take care of my infection. Thanks for bringing the truck. Don't let the Zombots touch you.". Shadow responds with an annoyed face, "I know.". Sonic's final reply is "If it happens, you should be fast enough to run it off like me.". The final panel is a closeup of Shadow looking back, stating "COWARDS run, I win.".
