Quitting Bluesky until it stops becoming a media full of Twitter reposts.

If you wanted to quit twitter, make it happen, don't add fire to the flame by giving these twitter retards the attention they want.

Thank you.

purity culture 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 “lose ur virginity” culture

-defining people for life by an arbitrary sexual status

-putting people in dangerous, objectifying sexual situations just to “make it” before time runs out

instead of letting people love in their own time

Friday Puzzle

Happy Easter to those celebrating. Sharing a mate in 2 by Johannes Burbach (1983). The black king could be on any of the marked squares, for unique solutions (diagonal symmetry)

The mates are elementary, but nobody wants to work hard on a long weekend!

Volevo essere un duro - 9.5/10

Very beautiful album, feels more sincere than the last one too. Favorite song is the self-titled one, since it's going to Eurovision too.

The last song is really nice, i enjoy the length and the piano is touching.

Norway has no prisons, only rehabs.
Build more rehabs.
No one deserves detention.

No one deserves deportation.

No one deserves prison.

No one deserves to be separated from their loved ones.

No human is illegal. Free them all.

I think we should look at it as a side effect of equality.

Gen Z did not do this to themselves, the generations before them did.

Equality made people, especially women realize that they aren't dependent or tied to a marriage anymore.

This is not their fault nor is it the men's fault.
gen z is undateable (in just 4 minutes)

One moment you're friends with someone, the next moment you think different of them because of a stupid political opinion.

Unfortunately life never gives people a break.

♟️AMATEUR MISTAKES: LACK OF POST-GAME REVIEW♟️

One of the biggest growth-killers in chess?

👉 Not reviewing your own games.

Today I’ll explain why post-game review is essential—and how to do it effectively. 🧵👇

We humans LOVE to generalize things to make life simple, and when we're met with evidence that says otherwise, we shun it in fear of losing control of our reality.

Give in to the idea that you have very little control, embrace it.
My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"?

Biological sex is not binary. www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-...
Sex Redefined: The Idea of 2 Sexes Is Overly Simplistic
Biologists now think there is a larger spectrum than just binary female and male

I love how we now have to rehash just really basic arguments about racism, like "one member of a nationality does not inherently suggest anything whatsoever about any other individual member of that nationality"
By this argument, anyone who has lived in Massachusetts is the Boston Strangler.

took a few days off for my brain and one pretty alarming observation i have is just how easy it is to not hear about the bad stuff that is happening if you don't explicitly dip into specific information streams (not a new problem but feels orders of magnitude more siloed than even 2-3 years ago)
