This expression! After 3 months here, and before that 17 months in our local shelter plus time on the street before that, Caroline explores our whole house now instead of staying all day in her safe room. She's brave, even, or especially, when a little scared. #cats

Just heard my latest CAT scan showed no sign of cancer returning, and my liver is almost back to normal size, 17 months after the surgery. Still waiting on my latest blood work results but it's looking good so far... #cancersucks

At 17 months, I finally had Silueta spayed.
Brought her home, cone on, in a room with low surfaces (except the door, which she likes to jump onto... see attached pic) ...
And she immediately jumped. Then jumped like 7 more times. I had to crate her, she is relentless.

It’s taken 17 months to get two children, the very first since this began, here. All without government financial support and now here, into private hospitals. The first child they tried to help died before they could arrange it. #EveryChildDeservesHope

I'm gonna be honest: If you don't have a popular newsletter, a book under contract, or a staff job at a legacy publication, I don't know how a writer can make a living right now.
So many outlets are gone and I've been holding this grief for quite some time.
