Reminding people of the power of SIXTEEN MILLION disabled people in the UK.

We were taken out by Twitter (X) ONE DAY before the UK election, along with multiple other disability campaign accounts.

Musk cannot control our content here.

The day before the UK election.

X permanently suspended our disability awareness account.

Alongside multiple OTHER disability awareness accounts.

Our accounts were attacked by bots & cloned.

Instead of protecting us - they shut our accounts DOWN! 😡

We are back on X for those who are still over there.

Though other disability accounts are being taken out, which is not the first time...

Getting closer! 😍

Come on, let's smash it to 100k and then use the spare time to push it as far as possible!

Petition: Apply for the UK to join the European Union as a full member as soon as possible
I believe joining the EU would boost the economy, increase global influence, improve collaboration and provide stability & freedom. I believe that Brexit hasn't brought any tangible benefit and there ...

People want to nose and poke around disabled people's business a lot.

Feels like a damn goldfish bowl nowadays.

Politicians are at fault for this. 100%
how do you know if someone is disabled or not? you don't! being disabled does not define me, it is a condition of my body. it's not something I want to put in my bio. not everyone wants to disclose out the gate that they are disabled or how they are disabled, and they are entitled to that agency.

Labour continuing the OBSCENE Tory approach to disability.

The wealth gap has massively increased.
NHS is screwed due to the last Government.
Brexit wrecked our economy.
A PANDEMIC HAPPENED.

But sure, it's disabled people.

@torstenbell.bsky.social - please pass that message on to your boss.
rachel reeves isn’t stupid. she *knows* a huge number of people are either too physically or mentally ill to meet the demands of work. she *knows* disability benefit fraud is a minuscule sum, effectively 0%. she’s just a scapegoat-seeking sadist happy to kill off disabled people

Politics and media has to stop pandering to the reich wing.

Sorry, right wing.
February 2, 2025 at 2:32 PM
No, instead they will empower the far right further and continue their attacks on vulnerable people in society - like the disabled - whilst giving a free pass to REFORM because they won't correct a poor economic decision which their leader was a key architect of!

TAKE BACK CONTROL FROM FARAGE FGS.
“No return to the customs union, to the single market or to free movement and that remains the case” says Home Secretary Yvette Cooper

It’s simply impossible to reconcile the governments stubborn & entrenched position on Brexit with its policy of “growth, growth, growth”
February 2, 2025 at 2:28 PM
The media generally only care about selling newspapers, getting clicks, and advertising revenues.

It doesn't matter who is fodder on their quest.

It's disabled people - again.

Which Reform also love to hate of course.
This Green Party surge is pretty amazing, I guess it’s because the media won’t stop putting them on TV and quoting them on front pages.
February 2, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Anyone else fed up of hearing about Reform's clown show?

@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social @skynewss.bsky.social et all.

UK Labour appear to be on the warpath against disabled people - you were tactically voted in. There are millions of us.

@torstenbell.bsky.social your party don't have an account here.

Watch this.

A MAGA-aligned school board in North Texas has a plan to split the district in two. The whiter, wealthier half would remain in Keller ISD; the side with more apartments and families of color would be spun off into its own, separate district

The Court ruled it raises serious issues of importance for patients & professionals, and he granted permission and expedition.

Disabled people continue to be, along with other marginalised groups, a scapegoat for the disaster that Brexit has become.

This topic must come back into the public discussion.

"If you don't want fascism, just stop it".

This is what happens when Rigby is not in a toxic echo chamber.

She has been told, repeatedly, and in no uncertain terms, what is happening.

I wonder - will it make her take stock of what's going on?

Probs not, but the thread is entertaining anyway.

Yes, because you are giving Reform too much coverage and have chased around after them like hyperactive children smashed out of their skulls on 1980s E number laden sweets.

And the rest of us are sick to death of it.

You are most welcome.
Have had a bit of criticism here from those who say me/broadcasters giving Reform too much coverage. Read the article I wrote. The point is, Reform is challenging Tories & becoming the (bigger) vessel compared to other parties w voters disillusioned in politics. How this plays out critical 2 next GE
Reform just 1pp behind Lab, acc to YouGov poll for @SkyNews & pushed Tories into 3rd place

- Lab 26% (35% in GE)
- Reform UK 25% (15%)
- Cons 22% (24%)
- Lib Dem 14% (13%)
- Greens 8% (7%)

Whose idea was it to wheel out a Labour ex-PM for a Reform-style rant about folk allegedly claiming benefits for "self-diagnosing" with depression in a country starting 2025 with overwhelmed A&E and "ruthless public sector cuts" while being told there's £2bn for having "AI mainlined into its veins"?
January 14, 2025 at 9:22 PM
An excellent, if depressing, synopsis of where we are.
We have to stop seeing news broadcasting as a traditional format for providing information. It's now just Reality TV based around trending topics: "Nigel is in the kitchen, slagging off Keir to Beth. ... Laura's in the bedroom, bitching about Rachel to Kemi." Understand that, and it all makes sense.

Great job Carla! Really important step forward 🙂
Really pleased the minister agreed to meet me to discuss my #RentersRightsBill amendment to give disabled people the right to adapt their home to meet their needs. Not counting chickens yet but potential big win for all who campaigned on this. I'll continue to push this forward.

@supertanskiiii.bsky.social

We are back. X took us out the day before the election, multiple other disabled awareness accounts got taken out.

Some managed to fight back, others didn't.

So many lost contacts and resources. Was mortifying.

We came under mass bot attacks & had the accounts cloned
