That is what our system described upthread does. No chemicals but it needs a place to drain. First pic shows the iron stain only 10 days after old system died. After installation, the water is again clear.

The only thing I see is what’s shown in the picture: Nelson Water Solutions Signature Series. It was $1,325 installed but we got a ‘long-time customer’ discount so likely closer to $2K.

Just had a new softener and iron-reduction system installed yesterday to replace the old one that died. We have a LOT of iron in our water here and this system works.

Add in school shootings and I have extra sympathy for parents of young children in these times. I’m incredibly thankful my kids have already graduated from high school.

This state of affairs can be maddening. That should also be said. I struggle to balance hope for the future and knowledge of what has been. The Democrats can be disappointing, to say the least. But they are the only vehicle for progress. If there's to be a New New Deal, it will come from the Dems.
