A Common Octopus (Octopus vulgaris) sitting in a hole in the side of a rock. Its arms are reaching up and back, making a U shape and revealing its two rows of suckers. One eye is sticking out of the middle of the U and is peering out, presumably at the camera or photographer. You mostly see the orange underside of its arms and its white suckers, but the rest of the octopus is grey and light brown, with the skin around its eye being dark orange.

The glass octopus (Vitreledonella richardi) is an octopus species that is almost completely transparent. The only parts of its body that are opaque are its digestive tract, eyes, and golden chromatophores.

The telescope octopus (Amphitretus pelagicus) is a transparent, gelatinous octopus that is known for its unique eyes. Amphitretus octopus have long tubular eyes that no other genus has.

Female blanket octopuses (genus Tremoctopus) have large webbing between some of their arms. They unfurl this webbing make themselves look much bigger and scare away predators. It's a literal security blanket!

The males are tiny and don't have this webbing.

A female Indo-Pacific Blanket Octopus (Tremoctopus gracilis) swimming in black water. Its arms are spread out, showing off its webbing that iridescent blue, green and orange. Tbe arms are pinking and have long suckers. Its eye have yellow irises. The mantle is silvery in on part, and purple outside of that area. Violet Blanket Octopus (Tremoctopus violaceus) with it's webbing tucked away and being held in a person's hands It has black beady eyes. It is orange on its sides, and its top and mantle are purple. A small female Indo-Pacific Violet Blanket Octopus (Tremoctopus gracilis) swimming in blackwater. It is pointing towards the left, and it has its arms extended. The upper arms have webbing, are go up and then point right, the centre arms are pointing right, and the bottoms arms go down, with one of them pointing right. Long suckers are visible on each arm. The arms are a translucent blue. The webbing is translucent with orange chromatophores. The matnel and head are very slightly trasnlucent, and are grey with magenta chromatophores. A Indo-Pacific Violet Blanket Octopus (Tremoctopus gracilis) swimmig with its arms pointing out different directions. It has eggs, but they don't seem to be visible in the photo. The upper are is raised, cureved and has translucent webbing with cyan iridophores on it. The arms are lavender and have long, translucent suckers. Its eyes have yellow irises. The mantle ranges from lavender to purple, with a smallish silvery part.

my lecturer actually literally went to the front of the class today and told his 120 students to NOT ask him questions if they get things wrong in their homework assignments, claiming "if i told everyone where they went wrong, everyone would have 100%" which is apparently a bad thing???
