A Steamed hams meme. The Quidnunc looms imperiously over two deferential suppliants. The 64 arms of the eight pontifices interweave, forming a nonverbal network as they dispense their collective dogma upon their domain. Patterns ripple across this ring of interlocked sucker and muscle, nearly impossible to distinguish one individual from anther. One of their number, distinguished by the crown of thorns seastar clasping its mantle, extends an arm wielding an ornate staff carved into a hook. I'm SS Julian, a Californian author-illustrator with a creative writing degree and a professional background in design. I self-published my comic Octopolis in 2024, hence the preponderance of cephalopods in my work. I enjoy drawing lots of different animals, including humans!
