Most Real IDs do *not* prove citizenship. (EDLs, which are available in only 5 states are an exception) The GOP’s “SAVE” Act thus misleads when it says voters can prove citizenship w/ “a form of ID issued consistent with the reqmts of…REAL ID…that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the US…” 1/

What is scary is some US citizens passports have been getting canceled on them. These goons have been reporting passports as "lost" leading to some US citizens getting stranded in foreign countries.

Don’t forget - you need to go and pay to have your picture taken and then mail it.
During covid, it cost me double because I wasn’t wearing my glasses in the first set of photos.
It can take months to process and mail it back - especially now since the government is short-staffed.

Just completed the application for a passport. The fee is $130 + 35 for the issuing location. $165 That is a pole tax and a hefty one at that. In todays economy I know a quite a few people that can’t afford $50 for a document they may never use except to appease DD crooked ass. ITS VOTER SUPPRESSION

Serious question. Are we sure that Republicans aren’t shooting themselves in the dick. With this? I’m pretty sure that most married women vote Republican, while the most reliable Democratic voting bloc are single women. Sounds like something that might help Democrats.
