People who are advocating for or enacting actions to remove the rights of others should be required to live without those rights for a while before they can vote or otherwise enact those actions.

"... Greenland is 90 percent Inuit. The Indigenous people of Greenland have never stopped fighting to maintain their sovereignty ... Framing the conversation about Greenland as a European-American conflict ignored the people who actually live there."
The Jan. Native News Roundup is out 2day. The U.S. has always been a settler colonial empire using violence 2 rule ovr ppl with no say–that’s evident in the news this month, from ICE in Minneapolis, 2 the quest 2 rule Greenland, 2 a trial in South Dakota.

To whoever needs to hear this
It is ok to state that actions are wrong no matter who does them….
Attack the actions and not the person

It doesn't take your identity
It is not an attack on yourself
It does not change your culture
It does allow you to be consistent in your morals

"So if your argument is “might makes right,” then don’t pretend it’s about ethics, Christianity, or democracy. Just say what you mean: power. But if you do believe in rule of law, then you have to reckon with the original law of this place:

John Trudell speeches in 1980 more true today than ever:
We’re faced with a very serious situation in this generation. There are insane people who wish to rule the world. They wish to continue to rule the world on violence and repression, and we are all the victims of that violence and repression.

The appearance of concession
The rhetoric of concession
Mean absolutely nothing
Without real, tangible meaningful action
Do not let them deflate resistance without significant long term change.

"I'm terrified at the moral apathy, the death of the heart, which is happening in my country. These people have deluded themselves for so long that they really don't think I'm human. And I base this on their conduct, not on what they say...

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

If you know the history of this country...if you are Native American, if your ancestors were enslaved....
You are unfortunately not surprised.
They come for the children and use the children to get the parents to do what they want....

if you’re feeling inspired by the photos from minneapolis, drop a note of appreciation at www.standwithminnesota.com/send-a-love-... !
I want to format these all into beautiful things to be shared across the internet, but until I have the time for it, if you are from Minnesota and need to know that people love you and have your back, that you are inspiring people all over the world, here are some notes.

Most don't celebrate war
A few gain financially and in power
Some gain honor for their bravery and heroism
Many suffer from its very real consequences
Most celebrate when there is peace
At the moment this country incites war
It threatens war
It performs actions of war and denies they are war

Speaking of toxic, drama filled, attention getting selfishness,
I don't care what "side" you claim to be on, if you're talking about your potential 2028 candidacy, STOP

Help fix the real existential problems that we're currently facing. That's where your energy is needed to warrant it.

This is a toxic relationship

You don't withhold or take away someone's needs and rights and safety,
Then turn around and give it back asking for praise for how great you are.
This creates a problem for attention and then "fixes" the created problem.

Time to say it again:
So this time gives us a chance to reevaluate the meaning of Freedom, because like any word, it is loaded with different interpretations.

This country was indeed founded on Freedom (at least for some).

Pulling from the archives:
I can understand frustration with existing governmental systems and our exact form of democratic republicanism is not solving many problems people face.
But let's be clear,
