out of my depth on any foreign policy thing but seems clear that at least some real part of this is fueled out of, if not a kind of boredom, a very real desire to entertain themselves because they are absolutely not interested in governing beyond shows of force they can post about online

I have to see if I still have my metro card as a little token to the past. Omny basically locks everyone into a trackable system to an account or your bank card. And that makes me sad.

I'm not sure if you can get a standalone Omny card or not.

Hot take before I turn my brain off to anything work related.

Any messaging platform that specifically courts or caters to the right, will eventually erode user trust in some fashion. No matter how good the crypto is. The ecosystem determines the future actions of that platform.
