The decision to reverse the proposed consumer protections, which are very popular, came after an aggressive lobbying campaign by Airlines for America and individual airlines.

The industry used its influence, cash, and flattery to get their way.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking education, science, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

Oklahoma Is Asking the Supreme Court to Ignore History

One thing that is interesting/perplexing to me, an author whose books have been banned, is that I'm constantly being asked to talk about how the book bans affect libraries and readers. This is important, but why not ask me, an author, how book bans affect authors? This could be relevant.

Also, if Commerce Sec. Lutnick was my son-in-law I'm thinking he could probably cover my missed SS checks and I wouldn't need to call SS - I'd just call him (because he's my son-in-law).
A competent Democratic Party would have this clip all over the airwaves and social media inside of 24 hours.
Trump’s commerce secretary Howard Lutnick says if Social Security skipped a check, his mother-in-law wouldn’t complain—and if you would, it indicates you are probably a fraudster. Insane.
