One of the least surprising pieces of NFL news this week is Derek Carr saying he's interested in returning.

Also, the Vikings should take a shot on him.

It’s such a fooking problem. Give this a listen.
Here’s our Super Bowl LX wrap up pod.

I think Drake Maye has a major pressure to sack ratio problem independent of his offensive line. youtu.be/_mRzJGA8Xnc?...

I see some pushback using career CFB stats for a player, with the common argument being how their final season is more accurate and reflects more of who that player is now. It's possible, but that also opens us up for traps like Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, and many more.

Per TruMedia, teams are 927-1,522-18 since 2015 in games where a QB throws ≥ 35 passes. Teams tend to throw a lot in games they are already losing.

This, respectfully, means nothing.

It's going to be impossible to talk about Drake Maye entering 2026 without discussing his sack-taking tendencies.

His 21.0% P2S since 2024 is 13th-highest among QBs (min. 300 dropbacks) in the regular season.

His 44.7% P2S this postseason is the highest of any QB since 2015 (min. 50 dropbacks).

The saddest part about the Kid Rock halftime show is everyone in MAGA having to pretend like they’re actually Kid Rock fans.

2026 is probably a make-or-break year for Michael Penix. He'll be 26 at the start of the season. Has had a mostly unspectacular 14-game start to his career and is now on his third ACL injury since college.

I know there were plenty of factors that played into this, but Jim Schwartz went 29-51 as the Lions head coach with Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson on all of his rosters.

I'm not sure that warrants a second look, even if your defenses are still good/great.

I've been messing around with using PFF Grades to look at a QB's breakout age (more like breakout season). It's a PFF OFF grade ≥ 85.0.

Of 171 QBs who have gone through the draft process, it's interesting to see the early breakouts and how many went in Round 1 compared to the later breakouts.

With Trinidad Chambliss now draft-bound, here are how his career (one FBS season) negative play rates and pressure to sack rates stack up vs. the class.
