One of my biggest peeves is that social media has ruined aesthetic presentation. Now, everything has to be staged, surrounded with a bunch of useless visual noise. If I'm looking at a person's art, i want to see the art! Not a bunch of props and shitty angles. Anyway, this is a sketchbook spread, social media style, with a bunch of nonsense props surrounding the colorful sketches of skeleton warriors. (I couldn't bring myself to do a shitty angle.) Getting back into webcomics after so long away, I find the harsh/thoughtful critique of peers has softened from what it was before the scene was centralized and commodified. Gentrification of art is a real bitch for a lot of reasons, but all the dishonest politeness is especially insidious.

The final Flash Gordon Sunday strip by creator Alex Raymond was published on April 30, 1944. Raymond had left the strip to join the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.
This is not a particularly remarkable strip, and it makes very little sense out of context. It's really only notable as Alex Raymond's last Sunday strip.
