You'd think it's easy maths
if i was a democratic voter and i saw a parade of Nazis lining up to endorse a centrist democratic candidate on the eve of an election, i would probably never trust any of the people or structures that supported that candidate ever again

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio

There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

Who's the man behind President Trump's dismantling of the federal government?
In a New Yorker article co-published with ProPublica, reporter Andy Kroll describes Russell Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, as a "shadow president" with oversized influence.

everything about the tiktok situation proves that when the tools of manufacturing consent have failed, the state will simply force its ideas with the threat of violence.

they know genocide is unpopular & they they can’t change public opinion. so they create conditions that simply coerce compliance.
Oracle employees who expressed support for Palestine were "referred to internal mental health resources."

Oracle is about to own TikTok.
Execs at Oracle, the likely new owner of TikTok, are VERY outspoken in Israeli media about the company's "mission to support the State of Israel" & "unequivocal support for Israel."

I have another serious question: how are people able to enjoy listening to this? Not because of what he is saying but because of how he says it. What does it say about New York Times reader types that this level of preening (and this level of swallowing every third syllable) appeals to them?
"I had friends say to me, look, we can oppose political violence without whitewashing this guy. I spent some time thinking about that over the weekend...and my reaction honestly is that it is too little to just say we oppose political violence."

an entire generation and everyone coming up after them have essentially been making pirate tv stations for each other on repurposed video game streaming websites for like about a decade now. if we had the money that demonic old baby boomers have poured into nasty jesus creeps you would be astonished
Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.
