To be fair, if UCU treated end of every short term contract as a "case" it would be too much. UCL brags on its website about making 400 redundancies a year (that was 15 years ago)

The redundancy I remember best (they all tend to run together in my head) was from Goldsmiths College. I was good pals with the people in the computer centre who were shop stewards. They were really sympathetic but said they were powerless.
