Could people see borealis in NYC? Did I miss it AGAIN?

They say it over and over and over again and yet are shocked when *we* dare utter it.

Damnit I can never find the Onion headline, but it was something like “France capitulates after valiant 45-minute battle.” For some reason that one comes to mind right now.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

One year ago today my family protested outside his house for his support of bombing Gaza and he had all the streets shut down and my then 8-year-old mocked him for it.
Never once in decades gotten anyone at Schumer’s office to answer his phones. Had to go outside his apartment in Brooklyn to protest, if he’s even home there, which happens so regularly this is what happens when you google it

you've got to click around on this map, and the graphics here ... it's astounding. @haidee.bsky.social did such a great job with this:

It is so clear that so many of my fellow New Yorkers have never had a single Muslim friend. Damn.

I have a meeting at a high school tomorrow and it’s in a neighborhood that voted 80% for Cuomo. 😬

I am really curious about how Southern Brooklyn voted. I’m guessing they went for Cuomo but honestly who knows.

Imagine running for mayor of NYC but hating NYC so much that you say you’ll move to FLORIDA if someone else wins.

A little more election-eve news for NYC schools: Enrollment is down 2.4%, the largest drop in 4 yrs. Seems likely immigration played a role - the influx of 50K migrants propped up NYC’s enrollment the last 3 yrs, but that’s ground to a halt under Trump.

To work for NYC Public Schools is to have an email auto-generated and cc’d to your principal after work hours on Halloween stating that you have done ZERO paperwork all school year despite your showing up at work at 7AM daily to complete said paperwork.

If you're in nyc and can afford to do so, please consider giving to City Harvest, who are already scaling up to feed people if SNAP benefits don't go out in four days.
