Best thing in the past few months. What began as a side project of sending books to sailors on deployment is turning into a much bigger project through collaboration with #ProjectPaperback and #USO.

Some of the 150 books that we've sent to ships on deployment, including USS STOUT (DDG 55), USS WASP LHD 1, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) and USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).

Shoutout to the Chaplain on USS Stout who collected requests for books from the Sailors!

Final post of my #navyweek experience. I wish I could do more of this. I know there is a recruiting element, but there’s more to it. It’s about getting away from the coasts and letting folks see who we are. It’s about connecting as Americans. It’s about getting to know the people we serve.
