Mamdani's #ZCavengerHunt shows what politics can be when it's rooted in joy and community. We deserve leaders who uplift our neighborhoods, celebrate our culture and invite everyone to play along, rather than stoking fear or division. This is the energy we need.

You’re labeled as a crazy people and a traitor if you suggest that maybe big cities should be affordable but saying that governors shouldn’t be on camera destroying the homes of homeless people is purity politics.

If you want to put back statues and memorials and names of Confederate traitors while tearing down museum exhibitions on slavery because they don't show the greatness of the nation... the nation whose history you're celebrating is whiteness. The kind of nationalist you are is a white nationalist.

In 2016, Ghislaine Maxwell falsely stated, under oath, that she was not aware that Jeffrey Epstein recruited underage girls for sex (you know, the ones she was actually recruiting on his behalf). She was charged with two counts of perjury for this.

Remind me why we give a shit what she says now?

Presidents don’t own the country.

It doesn’t belong to them.

It’s ours.

Never forget this basic fact.

It’s ours.

Never normalize dictatorial power grabs.

They’re NOT normal.

It was always ever already too much that they were coming for anyone.

Do not let up, repeat this every day to anyone that will listen:

If gutting Medicaid was truly good for the country, they’d roll it out before the midterms, they’d campaign on it.

Funny how their "reward" schedules itself for later.

The sooner the Democratic Party starts understanding that they should be supporting young progressive candidates, the sooner we can get this country back on track.

It’s time that people my age get a chance to work to make our lives, and our kids lives, better.

The Bible weaves a rich tapestry of justice and mercy, with thousands of verses calling us to lift the poor, defend the oppressed, and walk with compassion. Yet within its pages also lie shadows—passages marked by violence, tribalism, and the claim of a chosen people sent to destroy. 1/3

If the Supreme Court thinks universal injunctions are unconstitutional, to wait until *now* to say that, in this of all cases, with this of all presidents, is a devastating indictment of both its impartiality and its prudence.

I say this as someone who has voting power in her local Democratic Party, not someone just criticizing from the outside: the Democratic Party is not aligned with the people and instead of aligning their strategy & platform with voters, they’re trying to beat voters over the head and drag them along

A reminder that the @nytimes.com told New Yorkers to not rank Mamdani at all, & instead endorsed former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson.

Tilson sits at a whopping .8%.

Corporate media trust is dead. They killed themselves by failing to fulfill their promise of holding the powerful accountable.

I think that the outcome in the NY Mayoral race and the Wisconsin Supreme Court race both show that people power CAN beat the political money machine. That should give us all hope, and the motivation to work for the government we want.
