The thing I most relate to in William Kentridge’s series ‘Self-Portrait As A Coffee Pot’ is his enthusiasm for art tools which are difficult to control. Specifically, he demonstrates irregularly-shaped, fist-sized pieces of charcoal leaving unpredictable marks and collaborating with them.

making this logo look like a sticker that’s peeling, when it can’t actually be peeled off, is harassment.

There was a Mother Jones interview with philosophy professor Jason Stanley back in November. This part stuck with me; a reminder that people living under fascism lead normal lives until they choose not to or have that choice taken away from them.

Let him cook tho, let him eat Virginia
a not insignificant number of people on Threads seem to believe the snow storm was The Government's attempt to refreeze the Leviathan, the world-eating serpent, which was getting loose (to eat the world, I assume)

in my day we disowned our parents over how they handled 9/11
People have been disowning their own parents over support for Trump since 2016 so I don’t get why all the maga chuds are suddenly surprised that everyone despises them when they show support for ICE.

ICE executed Alex Pretti. Anything else you’re told is a lie.
UPDATE: @dropsitenews.com has obtained the very graphic video from the lady in the pink coat, which shows ICE executing yet another person in broad daylight:

I personally disagree with every American politician and think that there shouldn’t be untouchable state-sponsored death squads roaming our streets.

Every few years I remember these huge, amazing Joan of Arc paintings by Louis Maurice Boutet de Monvel at the National Gallery in DC and have to look them up so I’m putting this link here for the next time I want to see them.

I’m just now learning that in 1917 Erik Satie called a music critic “Monsieur Fuckface” on a postscard and had to serve a week in jail for defamation.

feeling for every person in the comments who’s getting a patient answer to their, “why aren’t the police stopping this?”
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.
