The thing I most relate to in William Kentridge’s series ‘Self-Portrait As A Coffee Pot’ is his enthusiasm for art tools which are difficult to control. Specifically, he demonstrates irregularly-shaped, fist-sized pieces of charcoal leaving unpredictable marks and collaborating with them.

People have been disowning their own parents over support for Trump since 2016 so I don’t get why all the maga chuds are suddenly surprised that everyone despises them when they show support for ICE.

Every few years I remember these huge, amazing Joan of Arc paintings by Louis Maurice Boutet de Monvel at the National Gallery in DC and have to look them up so I’m putting this link here for the next time I want to see them.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.
