It is insane how inevitable this felt - that the industry has forced itself into a corner ensuring that every FPS team has to work on a competitive service shooter that has a 99% chance of crashing on launch.

CapCut is a solid free alternative to Adobe After Effects. If you're still looking for a way to ditch Adobe, this is a really viable option. The timeline feels a bit wonky compared to After Effects, though, but you'll get used to it pretty quickly.

I feel so bad for the devs, both for getting fired so quickly and for what I can only imagine are the psychological ramifications of spending years working on a game in such a fickle genre with so many high profile failures to the point where I have to imagine this outcome must have felt inevitable
