こりゃまた凄い戦争映画が登場。2006年、イラクで実際にあったアメリカ特殊部隊の地獄のような脱出劇を、本当にその場で地獄のような体験をした元兵士たちの徹底した監修と証言を織り交ぜながら、完全再現（をめざ）した映画。
「よろしい、ならば戦争だ」みたいな漫画のコマを貼ってイキるのが大好きなネット民や、やたら好戦的な政治家が黙るしかないような、戦争と戦場のイヤさが万人に伝わる映画に仕上がっていた。
ウィル・ポールターの役回りが良い意味で美味しく「なく」て、だからこそ素晴らしかった（まさか現代の俳優で最も好きな一人となるとは『デトロイト』の時点で誰に予想できようか）
