Whenever people call software engineers "IT" I know they're clueless about how technology teams work. Regardless of whether that distinction is pointless or not, I have yet to see people who know how modern SE/Product teams work use the label "IT".

Honestly, the way the Valve team chatted with Gamer Nexus is so... chill. Like "hey, we're excited to gush about this thing we built". Not to mention they're ACTUALLY engineers, instead of some marketing mouthpiece that has no connection to the product.

Few things ragebait me harder than a company saying they use OKRs, and when I look at it, it’s just the same old goals/KPIs, barely even resembling OKRs.
Even worse when people say “OKRs by the book are not realistic, so we customized it”.
