I'm looking forward to connecting with people in this space. If you're into Black culture, urbanism, transit, music, travel, books, and dark humor and following my journey of being a new homeowner to my old house then feel free to connect with me.
I’m going to give the local weather folks the benefit of the doubt for the snow being more than originally forecasted this week but I need y’all to work harder to compensate for the reduction of federal meteorological services.

Trying to work backwards to figure out how pissed off to be at current electeds is exhausting but I want to level my shit for the future.

Thank God for the Dab and other shoulder focused dances. My knees and other joints are paying for all them lor dances we did growing up. When its time for the youth to have their lor functions they gonna be mad with Unc killing them with the shoulders.

I am pessimistic about 2026 so far, and the 2016 to 2026 analogies are not helping. But trying to find the glass half full in shit or whatever, I can say that my 2016 playlists are still great and maybe better when the context of a decade is added.

Between the shooting on Albany Ave and the construction on Scarborough/Whitney, traffic this evening in Hartford was a different version of hellish tonight.

Yet again our neighbors to the north are expanding bus service. Soon one will be able to get across all of Massachusetts using transit.

Glad to see Connecticut stepping up to help Thanksgiving travelers by increasing service on the Hartford Line…especially considering how stressful and tenuous air travel has been.

Tower Avenue’s streetlights are out thru Keney Park, the worst place to have no lights. Between the potholes and the random wildlife it has become Hartford’s version of the Merritt Parkway.

Glad that Subway Builder is a thing and optimistic about updates and city additions. I feel like this game (which sounds too elementary of a word for what it is) helps bridge the gap between activists and folks in the field between dreams and reality

I want to like Jon Stewart on The Daily Show but I don’t like how because he gets one day a week we get stuck in limbo on having a real host.

This probably would have a better rate of return than my retirement plan.
I started a swear jar the day Trump was sworn in. Tomorrow I will post a photo of the Porsche I am buying.

Roughly 10% of CT residents rely on food stamps, with about 34% of Hartford residents rely on them. We need to find ways to support them and increase access to fresh food in our cities!

360,000 CT residents get food stamps. Why the government shutdown could take that away
The food shutdown also would impact grocery stores that could lose an estimated 5 to 10% of business as nearly 10% of all state residents currently receive food stamps, officials said.

Well if Albany is getting Metro-North service, the Governor might as well electrify the Hartford Line so we can get direct service to NYC without the need to change locos at New Haven.

Metro-North to extend service to Albany, competing with Amtrak service
Gov. Hochul says the expansion will partially fill in for reduced Amtrak service as the national railway repairs the East River rail tunnels heading into Manhattan.

I miss living in a city with a grid system because hearing a block number and a street would allow me to locate it. #Baltimore

I don't say much about that city at the end of 91 with that Ivy League university but I do appreciate it's Union Station and both of the Dunkins that are on the app, so I can hit the downstairs one during a transfer. I wish Hartford Union had more to offer other than the Subway smell.
New Haven Union Station has TWO Dunkin’s!! The one downstairs was closed for the day, with a sign telling folks to visit the one upstairs! Sooo New England!! 😂🚆🍩☕️

A shame of losing local journalism is that reported news is generally copied from a press release with no context or fact-checking or confirmation. Prime example, news about the Hartford Line.

The 20 minute layover on a through train between HFD and points south of NHV for the locomotive switch makes me think I’m in the olden days
Meanwhile Hartford Line trains are scheduled to take up to 8 minutes to go the one mile from New Haven State Street to New Haven Union station
