The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Good morning! I'm in Uganda to visit family and friends.

But depending on your perspective, don't worry or I'm sorry: I'll be back by the end of the month.

See you soon, NYC.

Dem Party: We are spending $20M to figure out how to talk to male voters.

Mamdani: Save your money. I have +45 favorability with male voters & +73 with men under 45. Endorse me.

Dem Party: No way dude. Now—why is our favorability is -54? Let's spend $20M on wealthy consultants to figure it out!

🚨 There’s a lot of horrific news out of Washington right now—but you might have missed this: Senate Republicans just introduced a plan to sell off 120 million acres of our public lands.

Let me break down what’s in the bill and why it’s a full-scale land grab. 🧵

Hey @mollyjongfast.bsky.social love your podcast! UAW did endorse Harris, boldly; it was the Teamsters that declined to endorse. Not sure if you corrected it but wanted to make sure you knew. :)

I had been doubtful that we were going to have a "this is the crisis moment" with Trump, as opposed to "everything about this is a destructive catastrophe."

But the Abrego Garcia case is the crisis moment.

Courage is contagious. But how do we catch it?

For months, @amifieldsmeyer.bsky.social and I have been asking dissidents and activists from around the world how we can topple authoritarianism.

We assembled their lessons into a field guide to courage.

Trump has no concept of the nation or of its security. This is not an insult to his intelligence. These are just not cognitive categories for him. He can’t care about national security because it’s not a thing in his world.
Trump has grown frustrated with the negative headlines the Signal security breach has caused, @jonlemire.bsky.social reports. Yet the president and his allies are focused on attacking the media rather than showing concern for the national-security blunder: theatln.tc/2vzda50K
