I broke the story yesterday that masked ICE agents (not DOJ) were removing items including a personal computer from the home of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who shot Renee Good. I have yet to see a single news outlet cover this or an elected official even acknowledge it.

To be clear, this approach is worse than useless. Demanding "better training" for the secret police while yelling at those who want them abolished/prosecuted is active collaboration, it is an impediment to justice. It is not neutrally useless, it is taking their side.

I remember someone said that it’s funny that the liberal solution to cop violence always tends to be giving them more funding. If things are going well, it’s more reason to fund them more. And if they’re going badly, then they need more funding for trying and hiring even more cops.

Yes. The actual problem with police — and agencies like ICE — is that they have too much contact with people, which eventually lead to killings. Reducing their funding is about reducing those contact events, and allowing things like traffic violations and speeding to not become death sentences.
Defund the police was always a pretty reasonable position. It's absolutely frustrating that the ideas of community safety and policing are linked in the minds of so many liberals and people that close their eyes to politics
