Mais uma notícia boa para a economia. O PIB cresceu 1,4% no 2º trimestre de 2024, uma alta de 3,3% em relação ao ano passado. Crescimento que se soma ao aumento dos empregos, o consumo das famílias e melhor qualidade de vida. Sem bravata e sem mentiras. É isso que importa.

destroying a world class public university is just fine by conservatives. they don't want public universities to exist at all but are one of those things that are so popular you can't openly propose that without a voter backlash.
I had not thought about how Texas SB17 (DEI ban) interacted with federal grants, which fund research/training at a school like UT Austin. E.g., NSF requires a DEI office, which SB17 bans.
UT is losing grants & faculty at a rapid clip. Effective strategy for destroying a world-class university.

Most STEM grants require DEI elements. NIH requires a standing DEI office. And we funded phd students in STEM with federal training grants that are no longer allowed.
It’s certainly an interesting case study of government overreach. Similar to UF and FSU but more extensive.
