I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

Any bias we currently have, AI will scale it. That's it.

At BASELINE, Black applicants are denied mortgages at a rate 80% higher than white applicants. Outsourcing approvals to AI will WIDEN the gap, especially for Black women who get the worst deals in home loans. This is #TheDoubleTax.

FED WATCH: “.. tourism arrivals are falling sharply, especially from China and Japan in reaction to tariffs, and that is already affecting tourism jobs, which in turn affect leisure and hospitality, one of the most significant engines of job growth since 2020.”

So you’re saying we could solve all the financial problems of 379 million of us and impact just 19 households. What an interesting fact. Fun little bit of trivia.
The 19 richest U.S. households saw a $1 trillion wealth increase in 2024, a rise that exceeds the size of Switzerland’s economy.

These 19 households now control $2.6 trillion in wealth — almost as much wealth as the bottom 50% of American households.

If this isn't an oligarchy, what is?

The fact that “judicial overreach” is being used in the request to ask for a pause on the order to return this man is hypocrisy at its very peak.
Judge Xinis is sticking by her demand that Trump return a Maryland man erroneously sent to El Salvador, writing in a new order:

"Defendants seized Abrego Garcia without any lawful authority … and forcibly transported him to El Salvador in direct contravention of [immigration law]."

Watching an old comfort show of mine, Felicity. And it’s so funny watching it as a middle-aged person rather than my younger selves. Honestly my favorite episodes are with her therapist. I could watch a whole series of Felicity and Ben in therapy, where they belonged the whole time. 😂

As the flames around me lick up the crumbs of democracy, I decide it is important to invest in a really good Dutch process cocoa powder so I can bake sadness (but delicious) cookies. The only recommended one I could find that was the least expensive and not on Amazon was from King Arthur Flour, btw.

Costco, which has come out saying it supports DEI, will make no changes to its existing programs, AND pays workers a minimum of $30/hour, is up 15% YTD.

Target, which announced it is ending all DEI programs and has a minimum wage of $15-$24/hour, is down over 4%.

Keep voting with your wallet.
