The source of nectar secretion varies in position & shape. In many monocots, the nectary is in the wall (septum) of the pistil. Here in Hemerocallis (#Asphodelaceae) the tepals & stamens are removed to show the septal nectary is at the base of the superior ovary. #Nectar drop circled. #Botany 🌾🧪🌱
