This thread is a MUST READ. Nothing I have read since 2021 better captures the complete insanity of the “parents rights” book-banning movement than the need to protect kids from unicorn eyelashes.
We have the newest casualty of the “parents rights," movement in Texas! And we can thank Sen. Angela Paxton’s “parental rights” school library bill (SB 13) for keeping Texas kids safe from Pretty Perfect Kitty Corn in Southlake, TX (Carroll ISD). @shannonhale.bsky.social

Cruelty really is the point. Who else would go to court begging for permission to starve their own citizens? Meanwhile, they send $40 billion to Argentina, buying two private jets for ICE “Barbie,” and Trump has already burned through $1 trillion in less than two months.

Book banning isn't popular and isn't what parents nor taxpayers want.

The average person is sick of hearing about the unhinged sexual fantasies made up by the genital obsessed party.
I'll go ahead and say it. Texas book banners got their butts kicked in tonight's school board elections. Again.

12 days of work in 103 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

It’s wild how casually we say “42 million people are on SNAP” like that’s just a normal statistic.

That’s 12% of the entire country—in the richest nation on earth—relying on government help just to eat.

That shouldn’t be a data point we shrug off.
That’s a national emergency.
