WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

I must've missed the One Big Beautiful Bill's budget line for "Occupying Venezuela." Unless he's planning to take a controlling interest in the oil fields he wants to give to Chevron and Exxon/Mobil in exchange for the $500,000+ they gave his campaign.

Mr. Cuban, I'm a professor at Yale School of Public Health. Here's a paper published by one of my colleagues in the top medical journal evaluating the Medicare for All Act, which would not only get us there, but would save $450B per year. Happy to discuss! www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...

Turns out, the American Revolution was a bunch of rich white men who didn't want to pay a penny of taxes to the government that'd gone broke fighting to secure the rich white men's property rights, so they persuaded the poor to do the fighting. ’Twas ever thus.

* Dry goods — pasta, grains, rice mixes (Rice-A-Roni, Hamburger Helper)
* Baking items — sugar, flour, salt, oil, Crisco, evaporated/condensed milk

Virginia Giuffre writes that she was violently raped by “a well-known prime minister.” The timeline fits Tony Blair, whose name is the only one, besides Trump’s, appearing in Trump’s Gaza peace plan. Comments, Prince Andrew?

Americans rebelling against the Dep't of Homan Security. Maybe we need to spell it out fully: We're AntiFascists.
Over the past week, ICE and border patrol agents have clashed with Chicago residents, and federal guard troops arriving in the city might inflame tensions further. Our reporters describe the situation on the ground.

It’s official: AIPAC is trying to buy my election to keep me out of Congress.

Apparently, I’m a “dangerous detractor”... by believing Palestinians (like myself and my family) deserve basic human rights.

But we’re not going to let AIPAC win.

This is THE most important point about the looming shutdown: the Republicans could do it without a single Democrat vote. They want to blame Democrats for the shutdown they want anyway.
Thanks, AG!
Republicans don’t need a single democratic vote to fund their regime. Here’s why. Please share widely.

Hmmmm. All those flag officers locked in a room with Trump and Capt. Kegsbreath, and a shutdown looms while the Russians are flying drones and fighters over Estonia, LIthuania, Poland, Finland and Denmark.

I have an insurance guy who advises me on Medicare Advantage plans. He's great at what he does. His health care is under the ACA. He's worried about what it'll cost him for 2026. I didn't ask who he voted for.

The Fed now projects Gross Domestic Product growth for the remainder of Trump's term to be waaaay less than we had under Biden. That, plus tariff-induced increased inflation equals stagflation. I'm old enough to remember Nixon's wage/price controls. Soooo much winning…[sigh]
The Fed’s outlook for GDP growth isn’t very optimistic — below 2% for the next 3 years.

Hmmm. The number of job seekers is now greater than the number of available jobs. Makes me wonder why GenZ bros haven't yet figured out that Trump doesn't GAF about them.
One marker of a weakening labor market: there are now more job seekers than job openings in the US.
