We bake w/ my autistic 6 year old, A, often & he loves it. Today he wanted to make bacon pancakes which involved a hot pan- it shaved years off my life lol. Baking time is easier to understand because the oven is closed, I think! Alas, bacon pancakes w/ “cimmanon” were made & subsequently devoured🥞🥓

I signed the contract today for my forthcoming book, "All Thy Sons Command: Childhood and the Canadian Far Right". I have a dissertation to finish first, but this is huge at this stage in my academic career.

Really enjoying having a smaller account over here. I find that once you get to a certain follower threshold you stop being seen as a person and weird parasocial stuff starts happening that is neither fun or cool!

One of my profs this semester is so disorganized & it’s causing so much stress bc they don’t answer any emails! Multiple changes to syllabus with no announcement, every assignment/test/reading full of spelling/grammar errors, discussion posts w/ one topic in module & a diff one in submission portal

I've personally seen Boissonault speak at events where he has claimed Indigenous heritage. The language of "status" is a weasel word — many Indigenous people don't have official status, and he claimed Métis heritage.
New: For years, the Liberal Party of Canada touted Minister Randy Boissonnault as an Indigenous MP and part of the “largest number of Indigenous MPs” ever elected in a Canadian government, despite the fact Boissonnault now says he has never claimed Indigenous status.
