1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

Get serious, Europeans. You are your only hope.
"EU imports from Russia worth €124 billion have exceeded the amount of aid provided to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion." - stated Sweden’s Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard.

thinking about how my parents escaped vietnam, where the CIA destabilized my family's home country by spreading misinformation, and they landed in the united states, which is now getting destabilized bc someone in vietnam is spreading misinformation
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

Plus the fact that when the Bible talks about “modesty”, including the passage this guy wants women to read, it means “don’t flaunt your wealth”, not “don’t expose too much skin”. Also, if someone’s dress is causing him to lust, the Biblical remedy is for him to gouge his eye out, so…

It wasn't until about the 1940s and 50s that it became increasingly common to see men wearing t-shirts in public. The style ascended partly because it was sexually suggestive (think of Marlon Brando in The Wild One).

A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

Musk turned on a feature on X that showed country of origin.

He disabled it a couple hours later when it was revealed how many MAGA accounts aren't in the U.S.

Foreign bot disinformation machines exposed.

Seems like Twitter could have done that feature 15 years ago & we wouldn't be here today.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

I am deeply uninterested in “Santa isn’t real” statements because that isn’t the point.

The point is that *anyone* can be Santa. Anyone can make a child smile or give food to someone who wouldn’t have a meal for the holidays (and no, it doesn’t just have to be a Christmas dinner either)

Back to 1925--Japan's xenophobic party steps forward to take Japan backwards
The scary thing about Sanseito's surge in the Upper House elections isn't the mealy-mouthed racism–it's the barely concealed desire to turn Japan back to 1925 and institute totalitarian government.
