Trying to see how many different voids I can shout into. Mostly goofy tweets, sometimes sports (Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, US Soccer, Carolina Hurricanes, JMU Dukes), sometimes political.

I'm following a bunch of Braves fans and bloggers on here and I'm like "Oh I know this person from the other site" and they won't recognize me cause my sports stuff was @ displaced_fan on the other site. But I don't have the energy to do two accounts here like I did on the old one.

When I read Project Hail Mary, my mental image of Grace was not Ryan Gosling. It was like... imagine Jason Alexander like 10 years ago with a beard. Sorta.

Regardless, this looks awesome. But, the trailer is chock full of spoilers if you haven't read the book.

"I want the Nobel Peace Prize. Also, I'm invading a country."
Breaking news: President Trump said he will not rule out the possibility of sending U.S. troops into Venezuela, as a buildup of U.S. forces in the region — and his increasingly combustible rhetoric — raises the prospect of military action there.

i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.

You really can’t make a better example of corporate greed than one of the biggest franchises in the world cutting corners using gen ai like this.

Franchise prints money and yet… I can’t wait for the people investing all this money into AI for this shit to go bankrupt.

Of course I have.

The circumstances have gotten nightmarishly worse, and the consequences of inaction and staying silent infinitely more obvious.

Everyone needs to get “a lot more political.”

Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.
