If you use or were considering using SAMMI, switch to a different program.

The new sole developer is extremely pro-AI, has already started using it in the code, and is in support of its use for genAI images as well. Everyone who protested this was told to leave the server and stop using SAMMI.
Chrizz, now the sole developer of SAMMI, saying: I want to clarify some things and I apologize ahead of time if this sounds rude. It's still work in the progress but since people seem to have complaints about allowing AI in SAMMI. AI has always been a thing in SAMMIs source code itself. SAMMI is a tool that allows the users to do whatever they want with it. The change the previous DEV Team made about forbidding AI art will be reverted, but there will be the necessity to let people know if you use AI art. I also will revert some other changes like the extension policy. Why am I doing this? It's easy, because every person should be able to decide on their own if they want to use AI or not as well as if they want to support AI. If you can not respect this decission, it's ok. Everyone can have their own oppinion about this and if your oppinion is different, feel free to no longer support or use SAMMI. Chrizz, now the sole developer of SAMMI, saying: since things are getting way more out of hand now, please read this and if you don't wanna use SAMMI when it allows AI and uses AI in the source code, please leave the server instead of getting rude in the lobby

Twitch is officially releasing age verification in the UK.

Users will need to verify their age using an in-app facial scan; otherwise, they will lose access to watching mature content based on Content Classification Labels (CCLs).

Starting today, we are introducing mandatory age verification for users in the UK who want to watch certain types of content on Twitch that may not be suitable for everyone. At Twitch, this concerns all monetizing streamers (Affiliates and Partners) who reside in Canada. To fulfill this requirement as a monetizing streamer, you need to complete the Canada Tax Interview before December 31, 2025. You may be subject to a penalty assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency if you fail to provide the information requested. We strongly recommend completing it as soon as possible, it should take only about 5 minutes. Complete the Canada Tax Interview Note: You must be logged in to Twitch on a desktop browser to complete the Canada Tax Interview. What happens if you don't complete the Canada Tax Interview: You may be subject to a penalty fee imposed by the Canada Revenue Agency for failing to comply.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

this just in: im an abusive gamedev for (checks notes) making you feel things
negative steam review: Scripted death right in the beginning of the game, no way to avoid, no way to remove the 'achievement' stain from your play history when it happens And the game dev and their crony community call this 'a pivotal part of gameplay mechanics' and not what it actually is, a direct, coded betrayal of player trust. Why should I bother investing any further time in this title when the dev just seems comfortable arbitrarily killing you whenever with no recourse to fit their childish metaexamination of savegame mechanics? Life is too short to be a script kiddie's emotional punching bag. Even worse I have no idea how many more 'omg you died teehee' little moments and 'achievements' they've created to litter my profile with unerasable proof of failure. But since the art is pretty and it's about friends, everyone will just ignore how emotionally abusive insertdisc5 is and how casually they just dismiss all criticism Last and most bitter to me, the game is paced that you don't get the gutpunch till JUUUUST after the refund window. I kind of feel that was deliberate on the dev's part to even more severely punish people like me who don't enjoy being railroaded into character death. Toby Fox did the same motherloving thing with their ;uwu omg toriel scripted crit,; and the community defended his abusive actions then just as I expect insertdisc5's will do here. I am so motherloving tired of indie game devs being emotionally abusive and calling it cheeky fun
