The release of the documentary series “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” produced by 50 Cent, marks an escalation in what was once a low-stakes beef between two hip-hop luminaries.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Had a Camera Follow Him. 50 Cent Has the Footage.
The mogul’s spokesman said he was “deeply concerned” that video shot days before Mr. Combs’s 2024 arrest appears in a new documentary series produced by his rival.

for my grad student colleagues, here's a very cool post-doc focused on the history of computing (which I would argue is very akin to media history): networks.h-net.org/jobs/69559/b... -- check it out, @manshipschool.bsky.social @masscommgrad.bsky.social

I was listening to a podcast of authors talking about "bad review" parties where everyone brings their most brutal review to try to win a predetermined prize.

Academics should do this with peer reviews.

I think my "amusing at best, waste of academic time at worst" is a strong contender.
