I remember when I saw my first Fiero. A guy down my block got one and would cruise around the neighborhood turning heads.

A lot of people are watching Die Hard tonight. It is an amazing movie, but did you ever notice the problems with the touchscreens at Nakatomi Plaza? A Back button would have made it much easier to use.

I didn't pick up this Emerson Executive CD Player, not something I need for my system, but I loved the smooth action on this CD door and the wild styling.

It’s a Christmas tradition for me, for nigh on 15 years now, to play the Christmas Commercials episodes of Retroist every year; which collected vintage commercial audio at a time when that stuff was harder to find.

Having a 3rd installment pop up today was an extremely welcome surprise.
It has been 13 years since I have done a Christmas Commercials Podcast, but I happy to announce that Christmas Commercial III is now available to download. I hope you enjoy it.

My yearly page through of my favorite random Christmas book from my childhood.

I don’t know why, but I read this obsessively

A new Video Store Podcast is up and I am back behind the counter. While holiday cheer is great, I always think everyone can use some laughs this time of year. So I am recommending the comedies of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Koosh Balls hit stores in late 1987, but they really made a splash during the Christmas season in 1988. I was so happy to get one. Today I take a look at the history of everyone's favorite rubber filament ball.

MR. MAGOO’S CHRISTMAS CAROL debuted #OTD in 1962.

Jim Backus stars in this brilliantly conceived, beautifully animated musical adaptation w/ songs by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill.

This was TV’s first animated Christmas special — and it's a strong contender for its best. #Animation #ChristmasMovies
