A big reason we chose to live here is excellent public schools and libraries! Kids deserve better. It’s almost like they want to keep people (esp. minorities) in poverty, reduce critical thinking skills, and increase unplanned pregnancy - keeping women tied to men and out of the workforce. 🤔
The Department of Education helps kids get the quality public education they deserve. Gutting it jeopardizes their future and the future of public education across Kentucky.

I had a really mean art teacher in elementary school, and there are two things that I have learned to be true. 1) Be careful what you say to children, because you are programming their inner monologue for adulthood. Lift others up and help them learn, rather than criticizing & putting them down 1/2

The war in Ukraine has always sat heavy on my heart. While we claim Polish heritage, the city my family were from changed hands a lot, and Ukrainian influences are heavily sprinkled into my family's history. To say I am embarrassed to be an American right now is an understatement. Slava Ukraini!🩵

Finally got a pic of my fabric on the shelf of my favorite local quilt shop (who is also a little bit outside of the conservative mold around here) 🩵 It is “just” simple dots, but represents so much hard work! Last year was hard. This year is harder. I’m going to appreciate any bright spot I can 😊
