Frank Mayor, a 67-year-old Altadena resident, witnessed the tragic loss of his 1887 architectural gem, the McNally House, built by renowned map publisher Andrew McNally. Despite being among the last to evacuate, the house burned down in an area not typically considered a fire hazard.
