GANDALF: Can you see anything?

FRODO: There's nothing…Wait. There are markings. It's some form of Elvish. I can't read it.

GANDALF: There are few who can. The language is that of Mordor, which I will not utter here. In the common tongue it says, "Light the lamp, not the rat."

Breaking news - people wearing ragged ribbons in their hair are trying to take over the French government.

Messy bow coup.

You're welcome.

In the last 2 weeks, I have taken part in 2 panels at work, both on autism - one for an online audience of over 200! They went well; the organisers sent me really nice messages, along with points. What do points mean? Prizes! - in this case, they turned into Amazon vouchers.

So that was nice :-)

I am looking at my paternal grandfather's army service record from World War 2. His discharge certificate says:
"Military Conduct: Exemplary."
"Testimonial: Sober honest and thoroughly reliable. Very hardworking and painstaking."

It's great that another piece of the jigsaw has slotted into place. Now that I know my autism was caused by my mother taking paracetamol, I feel so much better.

Did you know that if a boat turns over, you can wear it as a hat?

Unexpectedly created a special leg pouch for carrying around my reading materials this morning.

That's a turn-up for the books.
