I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Beginnings and endings are illusions. Everything is connected, everything is a process. What we perceive as “life” is not all that there is.

I have an adorable almost-6-week-old sleeping in my lap, and despite how common this is I still feel like the luckiest person alive

Basically like being stuck under a cat, if the cat couldn’t move itself and dramatically complained if you tried to change the situation in any way. With maybe a bit of spit-up for good measure. But he’s so cute though

Finally saw Raising Arizona the other night and it was hilarious - so many great lines and antics. I love that it’s wholesome as well. Definitely going in my top comedies!

Week 34 means my small intestine and stomach are smushed up under my diaphragm, as this Griffin Museum of Science + Industry interactive timeline demonstrates:

Possibly the most useful purchase from my IT days. Windows Vista was the latest OS when I got this, but it still works great for inspecting old stray hard drives even on Windows 11!

It feels about as weird as it looks. Imagine having a huge gas bubble in your gut that can move up and down and side to side. Amazing that every single one of us was at some point a tiny squirming thing inside someone else.

To wear shorts and sandals and not be overly hot? or to wear leggings, socks, and shoes and not have overly swollen legs and feet 🤔

T-minus 40 days until my scheduled induction, and it won’t be long after that when I finally get to meet my Big Baby

I had totally forgotten about Bear in Heaven's "The Reflection of You" in the last 5 years, which is unfortunate because it's a hell of a song

Cursing my predecessor whose tool I inherited, which creates and manipulates a handful of database tables whose names are "A", "B", "B1", "C", "C1", and a seemingly unused table "D"

I understand "naming is hard", but it's not *that* hard
