Dinosaurs, not unicorns.

This is a me thing, but a silly one. I've finally heard a Taylor Swift song that wasn't instantly forgettable to me.

“Short bursts indicate an ICE sighting. Long whistles indicate agents making arrests. If you hear the whistle and you’re undocumented, said [Whitney Hu, a community activist and organizer with South Brooklyn Mutual Aid], ‘you hide. And if you’re somebody who’s not, you go to the street.’”
As ICE Street Raids Ramp Up, New Yorkers Stock Up On Whistles
Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks — a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

You know that covid zoom meeting trend where folks didn't bother to put on pants to attend meetings?
In my dream, this was extended to the return to office crowd.
Some of the folks in my dream have interesting taste in undies.

Why am I posting about a book that is not yet published?
I just reread a chapter and it brought me to tears, good healing tears.
Absinthe and Alchemy, seeking representation.

This extract from Henri Gerbault’s “La Faunesse qui a ete visiter l’Exposition” showing the doting grandmother and the child is so heart warming I had to include something similar in my novel, Absinthe and Alchemy, seeking representation.

New Report Examines Writers’ Attitudes toward AI
A study commissioned by the Gotham Ghostwriters and Bernoff.com found that while 61% of professional writers are embracing AI tools, authors, specifically fiction authors, are much more wary.

This was an interesting interview. Turns out there is more about me than good books and bad puns. Hard to imagine, but still.

My perhaps controversial assessment is that when you share the propaganda of your enemies to call it out or to mock it… you’re still spreading their propaganda and maybe doing exactly what they hope you’ll do.

I'm from Trinidad & Tobago. I can't tell you how many horrible things have been going on here since we elected a Trump friendly government in Apr via low voter turnout, as happened in the US.

But today, after having us under a State of Emergency for months, they've called out all armed forces. 1/3

I don't remember when I encountered Henri Gerbault's "La Faunesse qui a ete visiter l'Exposition" for the first time, but this remarkable work of art inspired my approach to Absinthe and Alchemy. The novel is now complete at 93,000 words and I'm seeking representation in the query trenches.

Maya Williams ran a workshop on writing poetry regarding grief yesterday. I treasure these workshops, run by @masspoetry. Each time I attend, my skill at writing poetry expands.

Thank you Maya.
