Was at the #ConferenceForWorldAffairs this week at Cu Boulder. What an incredible event!! I heard from so many amazing people. So grateful it’s free and open to the public.
My big takeaway: the internet has really reduced our ability to interact in person, and we need to push to do more of it!!

Today was a good day! I got to hang with a friend, be curious at a local library, go on a walk in nature, talk deeply and lovingly, got hugs, and created art! Successful day of living. Can’t wait to see what I do next 😎

Boglands once were considered portals to the gods and other universes. Liminal spaces between familiar and unfamiliar, water and land - they are eerie, beautiful, pagan. They harbor weird biodiversity and regulate climate. No wonder they are rejected by white, colonial patriarchy. Respect the bogs.

In fairness, “you can make millions of individual molecules but there are 13 that you need but can’t make so let’s outsource their production to plants. Also, it’s actually 12…you can make one of the vitamins…as long as the sun’s rays touch your skin like you yourself are a plant” does sound fake.

Went walking on the crazy windy day we had the other day. I like adverse weather conditions, but this was too adverse for me!!! It felt like I was on a helicopter pad with one taking off next to me.

As the U.S. increasingly withdraws from climate commitments, a reminder that we have not yet seen the Arctic exert itself in global emissions. It will become more important in coming decades, on par with a new industrial nation. We MUST budget for permafrost thaw emissions NOW.
