fun fact there is a kung fu skill that involves "swallowing" fairly large metal balls and then regurgitating them (in fact you lodge them somewhere in your throat).

Ok, so a while ago, I bought some lotus seeds – the kind you grow plants out of, not the ones you eat. I figured I could maybe let them sprout in my fishtank or get a small indoor pond at some point.
I've had one of those seeds in water for over a month and absolutely NOTHING has happened to it.
