British politics is basically a doom spiral of increasingly unhinged hostile policies.

Reform says something unhinged
⬇️
Labour counters with their own unhinged policy
⬇️
Tories shout from back they'll be even more unhinged
⬇️
Reform announces different unhinged proposal in response

And repeat...🔁

Nathan Gill is no fringe politician.

He was the leader of the Reform Party and before that UKIP in Wales.

A Brexit Party MEP.

A friend and ally of Nigel Farage, who in 2016 called him:

"terrific," and "as honest as the day is long."

This is a MASSIVE story

A reminder about how much the Brexiteers cared about fishing before it became a talisman for their idiotic campaign.

Nigel Farage attended only 1 of 42 meetings when he was appointed to the EU fisheries committee

Brexit hasn't been betrayed.

The British people have not been betrayed.

The betrayal was Brexit.

Once that is the established narrative, we can all go forward together.

God the tabloids and Brexit dinosaurs were boring today… 🦖

Braying the same “betrayal” lines they’ve brayed since they got what they wanted… then found they had no benefits in it whatsoever.

Still they came out today to play victim yet again.

But the world has moved on.

Reform is a Limited Company

Farage owns 53%

It was formed in 2019 to push for a “no-deal Brexit”

It wants to reintroduce the Liz Truss budget

It wants to privatise the NHS

& invest in fossil fuels

Close the BBC

& break International law

It’s a scam

Well done Labour

Anyone who thought you represented real change now despises you.

Anyone who didn’t, still won’t.

People who weren’t that convinced but hoped for the best are out of patience.

You’ve managed to turn off everyone.

Quite the achievement!

Brexit promised to “take back control of our borders”
But it also created huge labour shortages
So, govt issued huge numbers of visas to fill the gaps.
It ended reciprocal asylum arrangements with the EU
So, crossings went up.

Govt response?
“Take back control of our borders”
Such a ruinous deceit.

I buy £100 of food from Tesco. Because I need to eat. Tesco’s buys nothing from me because I have nothing Tesco needs. That is NOT a trade deficit. Because I’ve gone mental I put a 50% tariff on anything I buy from Tesco. My food now costs £150. Which I still need to buy to live. Fucking idiocy.

One of the first rules of engagement is: prior to battle try and isolate your enemies from its allies. Sound familiar? Everything Trumpf is doing to undermine NATO, make enemies of Canada, Mexico, Panama, Europe. Trump is removing American allies. Trump is going to war with Americans.

While it is utterly disappointing to see a Labour chancellor penalising the poorest in the UK it’s best to remember that it is inevitable that a Tory chancellor would do so. There is the barest possibly a Labour chancellor will tax those that can afford it and a zero chance a Tory chancellor will.
