At most use the canon ages as a starting point. for the scions it’s the age they were at when the whole story started and for expansion npcs it’s the age they were at when introduced. sometimes I will just make it up if it doesn’t make sense though (arcadion fighters are all in their 20s shut up)

The Encyclopaedia Eorzea books provide ages for NPCs: how do you "treat" this piece of info within your own wol's lore/timeline?
Are they canon? If so at which point in time? Or do you adjust them to your personal timeline? Or perhaps it's all the "1 year time bubble"?

as in like live service stuff? I played splatoon 3 in the last few years but otherwise not much else. really wanna try out guild wars though!
