I’m not a constitutional expert, and perhaps it’s because I am still feeling bitter, but I am over the “it won’t be so bad,” “checks and balances” takes. Rules generally work because people agreed to follow them as part of a social contract. When someone bows out, the rules don’t matter.

I’ve been afraid to ask this question for so long but no more: what’s the right protocol for liking posts when I find myself aggressively nodding along to almost all the posts made by one account? Do I need more friends?

Grateful for this work. There have been too many of these cases (or threats) against those who speak out about sexual harassment and abuses. Even without these suits, in workplaces, I’ve seen continued backlash now that many companies have taken off their masks. Shameful.

As an employment lawyer, I’ve been thinking about how workers’ rights will be impacted. We need to continue to address issues like discrimination, paid family leave, and fair wages. I still need to deal with my feelings, but I’ve been inspired by the grace you are extending to each other. 🙏🏼
