The Super Bowl halftime show has brought up a conversation about whether or not Haiti is part of Latin America and I think a lot of people are missing the point. It’s not about stripping Haitians of our identity it’s about recognizing its contributions to the region.

So much of the modern fascist movement is not based in any real ideological goals. It’s all about cruelty and punishment for their perceived enemies and nothing else. There is no logic or hypocrisy you can point to that will shake them from it. It’s spite all the way down.

Liberals will blame millions of people for the death of one American but refuse to hold the most powerful person in the country responsible for the death of thousands overseas. What ICE does is unacceptable, vile, and should be prosecuted, but it is not any different than what we fund worldwide.
