Washingtonians, we have two new bills that could bring universal healthcare closer for you!

Both bills will be heard in committee between 8-10 am on Thursday, 1/29. This hearing is a crucial step in moving the bills forward and public input will help shape the legislation.👇

If we want to create a more affordable, livable Seattle, we need to design for *reducing* car volumes. This is the only way to meet our climate, public health, vision zero, accessibility and housing goals. Our fight to design highway on-ramps with LESS capacity epitomizes why it's still hard.

And there it is, folks. The AA CEO made the call.

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

Rich people don't move if their taxes go up.

New data shows wealth grew after higher taxes on millionaires. Revenue exceeded expectations. A 2% wealth tax on $50M+ could raise billions, without driving the rich away. Inequality shrinks when states tax the top.

The 19 richest U.S. households saw a $1 trillion wealth increase in 2024, a rise that exceeds the size of Switzerland’s economy.

These 19 households now control $2.6 trillion in wealth — almost as much wealth as the bottom 50% of American households.

If this isn't an oligarchy, what is?
